Who we are
Every horse rider has that one special horse—the one who changes everything. For me, that horse was my OTTB, Loki. He was my "hearthorse," my once-in-a-lifetime partner. Together, we did it all—mounted archery, ranch work, dressage, jumping, cowboy challenge, mountain adventures—and he always took everything in stride. He taught me that good horsemanship comes down to two things: clear communication and quality tack that helps, rather than hinders, the conversation between horse and rider.
That belief is what led me to start Sagebrush Tack in the spring of 2024. When I moved to Saskatoon, SK, I struggled to find well-made, locally crafted tack. So, I decided to make it myself. What started as a personal project quickly turned into something more when fellow riders noticed my work and started asking for custom pieces. Before I knew it, Sagebrush Tack was born.
I prioritize sourcing high-quality materials, working with Canadian suppliers whenever possible, and making tack that feels good in your hands and works well for your horse. I want every piece I create to be something I’d trust on my own horses—because, at the end of the day, we all just want the best for our equine partners.
Now, I live in Saskatoon with my partner, two Thoroughbreds, and a very spoiled Border Collie, continuing to learn, create, and share my passion for well-made tack with the equestrian community.
